The Message to Laodicea

The Message to Laodicea

"Also, to the heavenly attendant of the congregation in Laodicea compose: The expressions of the Amen, the unwavering and genuine witness, the starting point of God's creation:

"I know your works; you are neither icy nor hot. I wish that you were either chilly or hot. Along these lines, since you are tepid, and neither frosty nor hot, I am going to spit you out of my mouth. For you say, 'I am rich, I have flourished, and I require nothing.' You don't understand that you are pathetic, pitiable, poor, blind, and bare."

~ Revelation 3:14-17 (NRSV)

There is an otherworldly world surrounding us, everlastingly. It is imperceptible. It is amazingly capable, a long ways past the forces of our physical world. There is a profound world, as well as inside that world, is a vast war going on. The stakes stay high in the battling of this war therefore: there are lives, such a variety of lives, going toward damnation, or such a large number of lives bound to spend forever without Christ.

We are - most of the Christian church - the Laodiceans. We are "pathetic, pitiable, poor, blind, and stripped."

This is not said just to make us feel awful. Be that as it may, it is a reasonable summing up of our present day church where pioneers are pretty much as tepid as their supporters seem to be.

We are tepid in view of our special society, as well as, and principally, about the profound domain where devils meander and heavenly attendants coast all over the place - to our complete lack of awareness.

We, as people, are affected and here and there even controlled by evil presences. There are impressive evil presences that do whatever the fiend requests that of them do. Devils are authorities such that they may impact us in heap potential ways. Heavenly attendants, then again, are there to secure our bushwhack, given that holy messengers can't help us when our will falters into transgression by our decision. Heavenly attendants are told by the Holy Spirit; evil presences by Satan.

God needs us to settle on decisions identifying with saying "yes" to Jesus.
