By our lives of confidence and confidence fledged works - of trust and acquiescence - we demonstrate that we are genuine Christians (and not Laodiceans). This is essential since holy messengers have a simpler occupation venturing with genuine Christians and evil presences have little impact on these.

The best assurance we have against otherworldly fighting is to do the will of God. Holy messengers can't secure us where we have the will to sin. Devils impact, have, and demolish. They need us erring and to keep erring. In any case, heavenly attendants - cherubim, seraphim, and so on - have the best pleasure when we do the Lord's will.
